A Very Frightening Straw Hat
Last night, I took down my enormous straw hat:
I put it on my head and Mr. Burkett was very disconcerted. At first she just looked at me with very wide eyes and bobbed her head up and down. And then I think she did not want want me to come near her, but also didn't want to be rude. She'd just kind of casually walk away when I would walk toward her.
Here's another picture of this delectable creature:

I love that hat! It reminds me of a hat that my Nanny used to wear when she worked out in the garden, only she tied a teal scarf with flowers around the brim to give it some color. If I had a hat like that, I would do the exact same thing that my Nanny did... wear it in the garden. Too bad that the cat was so frieghtened by it. One of my cats gets spooked by the oddest things too, like anything that makes noise. Stinky will shoot downstairs faster than you can say boo as soon as either the hairdryer or the vacuum gets turned on. Bebe on the other hand, just sits there and makes you vacuum around her.
Reading this over again... I need to switch my odd cats... What kind of cat just sits there when the vacuum is on? Bebe is the odd one, not Stinky.
Where did you get that hat, and why???? I didn't know you to ever have a straw hat like that. That is the dang cutest cat... I think I remember her now. I think you should wear that hat on your way to India.
i remember nanny in her straw hat with the teal scarf. thats all, em
actually that's not all. i can so imagine you in this beautiful hat, lolly. maybe i will have to send you one of my many scarves to tie on it.
